Meet Erick, a Legacy Scholarship student who's working to become a math teacher for secondary students. He says education and peace go hand in hand.

“During the war, it was so hard to walk every day to night commute or walk to school from far when it was not safe. Now, we are able to take more advantage of the opportunities given,” he said.
“I’ve tried as much as possible to bring my students close to me,” teacher Acan Harriet said. “When I open up and am friendly and show love, they open up and participate.”

New update: 26 women and children were released from the LRA yesterday in DR Congo! We are so excited that they are finally free.

The youngest returner is one year old, and the group is currently being taken care of by local security forces. More details are on the blog:
