Impact of Social Sciences — what counts for impact?

Five minutes with Conor Gearty: “It is very frustrating that my online project The Rights’ Future counts for nothing in my professional life. It is not teaching; it is not scholarly research; and it does not have impact”. | Impact of Social Sciences.

Again, this seems to me to be an opportunity for entrepreneurship. If this doesn’t count for anything “so far as the normal methods of counting are concerned” — well, so much the better!
