The South Carolina father accused of killing his five kids — the youngest of which was just one year old — was transferred from Mississippi to a jail in South Carolina Thursday where he was served with five arrest warrants for murder, officials said.
Timothy Ray Jones, 32, allegedly killed his five children in his Lexington County, South Carolina, home on Aug. 28, before placing their bodies in garbage bags and dumping the corpses in a wooded area of Alabama, according to the warrants. Jones was arrested over the weekend in Mississippi by police who pulled over his blood-soaked Cadillac, and he led officials to the wooded area where the corpses were dumped, officials have said.
Detectives are still trying to determine exactly how the children were killed, but the warrants say it was “by violent means.” All five children lived with Jones, and he allegedly killed them about a week before their mother, who is divorced from Jones, reported the children missing on Sept. 3, Lexington County Sheriff Lewis McCarty said.
