Miki Yoshikawa Started New Manga Last February (Updated)

Manga creator Miki Yoshikawa (Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo, Yankee-kun to Megane-chan) announced on her Twitter account on Monday that she will start a new manga series in February. Yoshikawa also thanked all of her fans their support, as it was that support that led to the new serialization. Yoshikawa has not yet announced the manga's title, summary, or where it will be serialized.

Yoshikawa launched her Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo manga last February, and the series is currently running in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine. Kodansha published the fourth volume of that series (pictured at right) on December 17.

Yoshikawa ended her Yankee-kun to Megane-chan school comedy manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in May 2011 after five years and 211 chapters. That manga inspired a live-action television series with Hiroki Narimiya (Gokusen, Akihabara @ DEEP, NANA) as Daichi and Riisa Naka (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Kami no Shizuku) as Hana. The television series ran from April to June of 2010.
