When you ask Colin Day what next spring's fourth annual Honor Walk holds, the very disciplined Iraq war veteran becomes giddy.

"Oh man, it gets bigger and better every year," he said.

Day founded Honor Walk to recognize the thousands of contributions by all Arizona veterans of every generation and branch of service. The event moved from Grand Canyon University to US Airways Arena this past year.

The event featured a "missing man" formation of vintage aircraft, thousands of families representing their cherished veterans through signs and custom T-shirts, and the event's signature item, dog tags stamped with those veterans' names and dates of service.

While Honor Walk is a one-day event and fundraiser, the benefits it provides to Arizona veterans goes on all year long.

Now, the Honor Walk Mentorship Program pairs up veterans with members of the business community to help servicemen and -women transition from the battlefield to the board room.

Today at 4 p.m. on EVB Live, we talk with one of the first veterans to try the program and find out why the transition can be tough on those who are used to the toughest of conditions.

The 2015 Honor Walk is coming Sunday, March 1, 2015.
