Among Richmond Law's diverse class of 1Ls are nine students with graduate degrees, two with Ph.D.s, two with Top Secret security clearances, several with EMT certifications, and many with service backgrounds in the U.S. armed forces. Twenty-seven Richmond Law students volunteered at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden's Community Kitchen Garden, which provides food to to FeedMore of Central Virginia. Organized by the school's Harry L. Carrico Center for Pro Bono Service, students prepared beds and planted vegetables as part of this year's 1L Orientation program. Read more

Congratulations to M. Hannah Lauck, former Richmond Law adjunct professor and co-director of the John Marshall Scholars Program. The U.S. Senate confirmed Judge Lauck to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia on June 10, 2014.
Congratulations to Kathleen Dwyer, L'14, and Christie Marra, L'91. Kathleen is the recipient of the Virginia State Bar's Oliver Hill Law Student Pro Bono Award. Christie is the recipient of the VSB's Legal Aid Award. Both will be presented during a luncheon at the VSB Annual Meeting this summer.
