As long as we leave the Harajuku Girls at home this time.

Ah, MTV has confirmed the inevitable: Gwen Stefani is back (not that she ever seemed to have, er, left entirely) in a very big way. During a Fashion Week interview, Stefani shared that she's back in the studio hard at work recording both a No Doubt album and a solo album (her first in eight years) simultaneously.

“At this point I’m thinking about both, I can do both,” Stefani explained to MTV News. “And it’s just an amazing time—so many opportunities. I’m going into the studio tonight with Pharrell, I’m going to be writing and also just seeing what comes along my way. I’ve been recording a few things..."

And it's not just Stefani excited about her work in the studio. Pharrell also chimed in with his own assurance to expect something really, really good:

“You’ll never believe that she does not look her age, she doesn’t look like she’s had three children—but that’s the cool part, she is her age and she’s had three children and she’s killing it,” Pharrell said at a separate Fashion Week event. “When I tell you she’s killing it, it’s another level. Gwen is somewhere else.”

No Doubt's last studio album, 2012's Push and Shove, debuted to generally favorable reviews and even a bit of controversy. Guitarist Tom Dumont had hinted via Twitter in October 2013 that the band was on hiatus but would be getting back together some time in 2014.
