Best iPad Blogging App
I've tried them all and BlogPad Pro is definitely the most ambitious iPad blogging app available. It's features for managing blogs, media, content, pages and stats are unmatched. Blogsy is nice, but if you want to drill into some of the site configuration details, you still end up falling back to the Web interface. Not so with BlogPad Pro; almost every feature you can think of is exposed through a native and easy-to-understand interface.
BlogPad's customer support is outstanding. One of my sites, hosted by a big media company that added some unique backend customizations, had problems connecting to BlogPad. I emailed the support team and over the course of several days and literally dozens of email messages, they reproduced the problem, built a fix, signed my iPad up as a beta tester and got me running. The support messages were sent at all hours so I don't know when these guys sleep. Incredible.
BlogPad Pro is highly recommended if you're serious about using the iPad as a blogging platform. Get it.
Incredible functionality for ipad
This is a great app: you can do *almost* everything you'd want to in terms of editing and making new pages and posts. In fact some functions like editing their settings are even faster with blogpad. Uploading pics from your ios library at the resolution you want is very helpful as well as being able to work offline which you can't do with desktop WP unless you have a local wamp server installed.
The developers are passionate about their product and respond quickly to fixes and suggestions. Dino is a top part of the team. I had requested a 'CKEditor' plugin type functionality to the text editor and he quickly created it, even adding the ability to make tables right in the app!
Despite my Socratic 'quibbles' with the developer about the GUI, this is a top app that has become an indispensable part of my mobile arsenal. Well worth the purchase price.
Very useful
I've been using this for several weeks. It works better for me than the wordpress app in just checking stats or reading other blogs, because it stays logged in all the time. My wp app keeps requiring new logins, and that became a hassle. I've now used this app to write a few new posts and pages as well as update existing pages. I never did these things before without my real computer, but they were easy and fun with my iPad. This app works great and in some ways is easier than my computer in terms of adding visual content that is stored on my iPad. I have found one unexpected problem: sometimes when adding a picture, the insert button disappears, and I need to start again. I reported this to the developers, and they very quickly responded with helpful tips and a promise that this is being fixed soon.
