BGSU lauded again in U.S. News 'America’s Best Colleges'
U.S. News and World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” once again recognized Bowling Green State University as one of the nation’s top public universities. The 2015 edition shows BGSU “made the grade” as a Top 100 public university. Orel co-edits book on issues faced by older LGBT adults
Dr. Nancy Orel, a BGSU gerontology professor and associate dean of the College of Health and Human Services, is on a mission to improve services for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older adults. Through the book “The Lives of LGBT Older Adults: Understanding Challenges and Resiliencies,” Orel is trying to combat the “isms” that have plagued many LGBT older adults. Read More
Center for the Future of Forensic Science Names Director
The Bureau of Criminal Investigation facility currently under construction on the Bowling Green State University campus will also be the home of the Ohio Attorney General’s Center for the Future of Forensic Science. On Sept. 11, BGSU President Mary Ellen Mazey and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced that Dr. Jon E. Sprague will serve as the first director of the center. Read More
