Governmental Affairs

The primary role of Governmental Affairs is to advocate on behalf of Michigan State University by building and promoting positive relationships with federal, state, and local policymakers and stakeholders to ensure legislative funding and policy initiatives reflect the needs of the university. Legislative and funding priorities are coordinated through the Office of the President.

As external liaison for one of the top 100 research universities in the world, Governmental Affairs is committed to connecting world-class expertise to policy makers at all levels of government, aiding in their work to enhance Michigan’s economic vitality and quality of life.
