EOG Resources remains largest acreage holder

Aqua-Pure Ventures Inc., a recycler of oilfield and shale gas wastewater, reports the installation of a second ROVER unit through FQS Ventures, a joint venture between Aqua-Pure’s wholly owned subsidiary Fountain Quail Water Management and Select Energy Services, marking the first ROVER mobilization into the Eagle Ford shale play.

Esmark Inc., a diversified holding company with interests in steel manufacturing and distribution, oil and gas exploration and production, and real estate services, is converting the former Ohio Cold Rolling Co. steel finishing mill in Yorkville, Ohio, into a tri-modal industrial services terminal to support companies engaged in oil and gas exploration and production in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays.

Natural gas production in the Lower 48 US states increased by 0.4 billion cubic feet per day during the month of August vs. July, according to Bentek Energy, an analytics and forecasting unit of Platts.

STW Resources Holding Corp. plans to acquire Midland, Texas-based Black Pearl Energy LLC, which installs liners and has introduced floating evaporation covers for freshwater frac pits to the oil industry. Black Pearl operates primarily in the Permian Basin.
