To wrap up the 2011-2012 public lecture series on Funded and Forbidden Knowledge: Science, Politics, and Cultural Values, the Center for Values in Medicine, Science, and Technology presents an interdisciplinary conference, which engages the areas of science and technology studies, history and philosophy of science, science and technology policy studies, ethics and political philosophy, education, and science policy in exploring the interactions between science and policy-making, with special attention to the role of values in those interactions.
Location
The conference will take place on the UT Dallas campus (directions) in the Eugene McDermott Library (map), in the McDermott suite on the 4th floor (map). There are two separate presentation spaces in the suite, the conference room and the "dining room".
