European Commission Workshop on Peer Review, Brussels, December 13-14, 2010.
This workshop -- co-organized with the European Commission -- brought CAPR researchers together with EC staff and representatives of a number of US and european science foundations. The goal: to understand the latest thinking about integrating broader impact concerns into peer review.
Our questions:

The purpose of this workshop is to bring together CAPR researchers, researchers with related expertise, and some of the main users of this research for a mid-term assessment and re-orientation of CAPR research. This will both allow users to affect the course of this research and aid with the dissemination of CAPR results beyond the academic community.  In sum, we seek to break down the barriers between the producers and users of knowledge in order to facilitate the co-production of useful knowledge.
