The office for Research & Innovation promotes excellence in research and graduate education at the University of Oregon — the state’s only Association of American Universities member. Research, both basic and applied, is fundamental to the mission of the University and is essential to Oregon’s economic and civic vitality. The office enhances research through the following research services divisions:
The Office for Research & Innovation provides administrative and financial support for sponsored programs, including identification of funding opportunities, proposal submission, research compliance, and contracts and grant administration. The office supports numerous graduate programs and interdisciplinary research centers and emboldens innovation and economic development through strategic partnering and technology transfer. The UO has a long tradition of interdisciplinary research that continues with the recently opened Lewis Integrative Science Building, a facility that is producing new knowledge and innovative solutions to society’s grand challenges.
