Cantanker’s latest project, an exhibition and catalog, features work exploring the symbolic, personal, apocalyptic, contemplative and humorous themes surrounding “The End”. Selecting work from an open call, Cantanker’s editorial staff has chosen work in a variety of media in consideration of inevitable demise. Menchaca's animated video, Codex Migratus Animatus interprets current events along the U.S.-Mexico border through the exploits of a cast of cartoon animals inspired by pre-Columbian codices, Pop Art prints, Chuck Jones’ animation, and Keith Haring’s painted murals.

Photos from the Library's Austin History Center depict Austin's early Mexican and Mexican American business and cultural community downtown between Congress Avenue and the banks of Shoal Creek. This community moved to Austin's eastside in the 1930s, largely a result of the 1928 City Plan for Austin, which suggested that the city segregate minority communities.
