Printmaking Workshop: Color Woodcuts with Sean Starwars

COLOR WOODCUTS WITH SEAN STARWARS WORKSHOP
NOVEMBER 30 - DECEMBER 2
BURNING BONES PRESS (1518 YALE 77008)

**OPEN TO ALL LEVELS**

It’s time to get loose, it’s time to have fun, it’s time to get a little dirty. Burning Bones Press is hosting a three-day color woodcut workshop November 30-December 2 with Outlaw Printmaker Sean Starwars.

We will jump right in on Friday night and learn how to either draw or transfer a killer image right onto the woodblocks. Sean will give a brief talk outlining the role of the woodcut in art as well as showing numerous contemporary woodcuts. Saturday will be an all day marathon of cutting, cutting, and more cutting until all four woodblocks are ready to go. Sunday will be when the real magic happens. That’s when we’ll bust out the color ink, and you’ll experience the thrill of seeing your block come to life as a completed four-color woodcut! Now that it’s all done we’ll still have time to play around with some of the other fun things you can do with a woodblock print. Bring some blank t-shirts so you can print your woodcut on them if you want.

Take a break from the holiday madness with this three-day workshop and end up with exciting multi-color woodcuts you can give to friends and family!

If you’ve been to Burning Bones, you know that we work really hard, but we have loads of fun while doing it! Come spend the weekend with us. You deserve it!
