Red Space Gallery is pleased to present Christie Blizard and her exhibition of new works entitled Wind Waker. The exhibition will open on Saturday September 22nd from 7:00 to 10:00 in the evening. Wind Waker will be on display through November 11th.
In this site-specific installation that borrows part of its process from sand painting, Blizard uses gaffers tape to create designs that respond to the physical elements of the space. These free associative patterns will move in and out of references to traditional handloom work and early video games such as The Legend of Zelda. After the show, it will be rolled back into a ball of tape creating a new art object in itself.
