10 YEARS OF PUBLIC ART
Celebrating our 10th Anniversary, FWPA has commissioned over 30 works in locations throughout the city ranging from murals to sculptures to infrastructure enhancements, all thanks to the City of Fort Worth's investment of 2% of capital budgets. The resulting visual impact to our urban environment not only enriches our citizens' lives, but also promotes tourism and economic development. Managed by the Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County and with oversight of the Fort Worth Art Commission, FWPA strives for artistic excellence and meaningful community involvement. In 2011, accolades include Historic Fort Worth's Preservation Award for the Al Hayne Monument restoration project and Fort Worth Weekly's Best of Public Art Critic's Choice Award for Night Song on the Rolling Hills Radio Tower. FWPA continues to build momentum with some 50 ongoing and new public art projects underway!
