Ball 'n Chain 2013

Dearly beloved:
You thought you’d retired the baby blue bridesmaid dresses and seen the last of the ruffled tuxedos… and that Uncle Bob and his 20-minute toast was down for the count. But cue the wedding singer, the coconut cream cake and the crashers—because we’re making it official.
Your presence is requested at the fete commemorating the union of two of Houston’s most dearly beloved arts organizations (Fresh Arts Coalition and Spacetaker) in
holy wedded matrimony on Friday, February 1st, 2013-- we walked down the aisle earlier this year, but we’re ready to throw the be-all and end-all of receptions to celebrate our gettin’ hitched!
Come sashay down the aisle at Winter Street Studios for Ball N ’ Chain: 2013. Skip the vows, bypass the in-laws and raise a glass with the wildest wedding party in
town… with fabulous costumes, a silent auction, libations, light fare, and dancing ‘til it starts raining rice. Will you come donning your best bridesmaid dress disaster? Perhaps pay homage to your favorite celebrity brides and grooms or odd couple? Or maybe channel a cheesy wedding singer or your best Bridezilla! But whatever suits your
fancy, don’t miss the most marvelous marriage of the year! Join chairs Eleanor and Dan Gilbane, Jennie and Justin Segal, and Mark Sullivan in honoring arts advocate
George Lancaster and artists Matthew Dirst (Ars Lyrica), Sixto Wagan (DiverseWorks) and Rich Levy (Inprint) for their extraordinary contributions to the
Houston art scene!
Save February 1st for Ball N ’ Chain: 2013 and support Fresh Arts: an organization dedicated to supporting and inspiring artists, strengthening Houston’s arts organizations and creative community, and deepening public participation in the arts in our community. We ask long-time lovers of both organizations and blind dates
alike to please consider a gift to the cause. No fine china or crystal necessary—but any underwriting level is appreciated! Most importantly, make sure you join the friends and family on our big day! Just say Yes!
For all eternity,
Eleanor & Dan Gilbane
