Individual 1040 Tax Filing No Longer Offered
Effective immediately, TALA will no longer offer Individual 1040 Tax Filing Services for our members. Those needing assistance filing a 1040 will be referred to area tax service organizations with similar income guidelines. A referral list will follow in the coming weeks. TALA will continue offering 990-EZ tax filing services for member organizations. We apologize for any inconvenience.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (TALA) supports the cultural community in Texas by providing volunteer legal and accounting services, educational programs and publications to artists, nonprofit arts organizations and other art constituents.
TALA was formed in 1979 to meet the legal and accounting needs of artists and nonprofit organizations. Our services include lawyer and accountant pro bono assistance, dispute resolution services, educational programs for the artistic and business community, publications, and a resource library. Programs are designed to help artists apply legal and accounting concepts for their benefit. Your membership dollars provide for TALA’s small staff, office facilities and insurance coverage necessary to coordinate and support TALA volunteers. TALA does not represent individuals or organizations before courts, arbitration panels, administrative proceedings, or other governmental bodies. TALA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
