Texas judge warns of U.S. 'civil war'
A Texas judge said this week that a “civil war” could possibly erupt in the U.S. if President Barack Obama is reelected.
“One of the things is he’s going to try to give the sovereignty of the United States away to the United Nations. What do you think the public is going to do when that happens? We are talking civil unrest, civil disobedience, possibly, possibly civil war, OK?” Lubbock County Judge Tom Head said Tuesday on FOX 34.
Continue Reading“Now what happens? What happens? Now I’m not talking just talking riots here and there. I’m talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms, get rid of the dictator. OK, what do you think he is going to do when that happens? He is going to call in the U.N. troops, personnel carriers, tanks and weapons,” Head added.
Head, saying he has “got to look at the worst case scenario,” told FOX 34 that if the U.N. tries to invade Lubbock County, “I’m going to be standing in front of their personnel carriers and say, ‘You’re not coming in here.’”
“And I’ve asked the sheriff. I said, ‘Are you going to back me on this?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, I’m going to back you.’ Well, I don’t want a bunch of rookies back there who have no training and little equipment. I want seasoned veteran people who are trained that have got equipment. And even then, you know we may have two or three hundred deputies facing maybe a thousand U.N. troops. We may have to call out the militia,” Head said.
Head, a county judge since 1999 and chairman of the county’s emergency planning committee since 2000, made a similar warning on FOX Talk 950 on Monday, CNN reported.
Head addressed his comments on Wednesday, saying he was speaking about the “worst-case scenario in my opinion,” adding, “Do I think those are going to happen? Probably not,” according to CNN.

It is true that Obama, the Justice Department, HHS and a democrat Senate are at war with Catholics and anybody else who wants to express their First Amendent Rights to freely practice their religion without govermnt interference. Obama has adopted atheism as the new US State religion and is enforcing atheism and secularism with Government playing the role as the New God. That is a violation of the US Constitution. Government can NOT order Catholics Universities and Catholic parents to pay for free abortions and contraceptives in violation of their beliefs. Religious freedom has not been under such attack since the 1950s after the Communists took over Eastern Europe and persecuted Catholics for practicing their faith.
You and Judge Head should be quite happy together.
It just shows you how much the Republicans are out of touch and hateful to anything that doesn't agree with their policies.
Wow, this is what happens in a state that does not value education and that allows creationism to be taught along side evolution.
Ignorance and stupidity.

Romney/Rove -- doubling down on failure and lies
I wonder if this guy has trouble getting his white hood on over his tinfoil hat.
If a civil war does start. I hope that judges like him are the first casualties
One wonders why the UN or anyone else would want to go anywhere near Lubbock County!
It might be a blessing in disguise if Texas were to secede from the union. I'll state a few of the enormous problems with this state and the corrupt leaders that reside within it:
1. Big oil executives: Pump millions into Washington DC lobbying efforts to buy votes in Congress. These individuals are also directly linked to oil wars overseas, and directly responsible for the loss of thousands of US troops. Though no GOP politician dares to state this in public, this is indeed the reality.
2. Religious extremism: Look no further than Texas to find a key source of extreme evangelical Christian influences that blindly support Israel, oppress women's rights and turn a blind eye to discrimination against Latino's, homosexuals and pretty much anybody who isn't a blind faith Christian with cowboy boots.
3. Environmental flat earth society: Look no further than Texas to find hoards of brainwashed citizens who are simply ignorant of science. To them, scientific reports of global warming, melting ice caps, etc. are fabrications. All courtesy of the daily brainwashing they receive from hate radio & the Rupert Murdoch right wing media propaganda machine.
While most Texans are by and large kind people, many of their conservative and indeed ignorant (yes, they are truly dumb) leaders are indeed a primary cause of the decline of the United States. America would not be at a huge loss without such toxic influences on our national policies.
I do hold out hope though. I have friends in Austin and elsewhere who are highly educated and understand the mess. They repeatedly point out that "not all Texans are this way". I agree. Perhaps we can put Texas in a constitutional holding tank for a while. That is to say, ban their politicians from voting in Washington DC, but allow them to write letters of recommendation for various bills. To allow them to remain running rampant in Washington DC is to accept the status quo, which is without question taking our nation down and the world down the tubes.
Signed,
Oil war veteran with a degree in political science (with honors)
What is wrong with Texas/Texans?! Why would any community in the country put such an uninformed and paranoid individual on the bench? The UN doesn't have it's own troops, it's own money, or it's own equipment. UN forces and equipment are from member state (mostly ours), UN money comes from member states (mostly us). The UN DOES NOT have an army or standing forces. How is our president going to call in troops that don't exist? When has a member of the UN ever done anything like this? And why would anyone invade a backwater county in Texas?
The "worst-case scenario" is someone like this presiding over court cases!
Wow, did IQs just suddenly drop further in the GOP?
sidestyle, as I pointed out in my comment it's a fact that leaders in Texas (and the people who vote them into office) are simply dumb. It's OK to say it. They're DUMB. Ignorant. Uneducated. Stupid. etc.
I have never stooped so low in my dialogue, but I have studied Texas and a few other repositories of ignorance in our nation carefully over the years. I've come to the conclusion that it is indeed OK to generalize most Texans as dumb.
Granted, there are some bright people in this state, but you don't have to look far to find a brainwashed bozo.
I wonder what that judge is smoking. Probably the same stuff that the rest of the far-right wackos in the G-nO-P are using.
I also wonder what Judge Head has done to prepare for a zombie apocalypse. That is just as likely as an Obama-led invasion of UN soldiers.
If the UN has so many soldiers looking for something to do, why aren't they cleaning up the mess in Syria? Any ideas on that?
All these years I had naively assumed that judges were experts at facilitating arguments based on evidence. Romney needs to tread carefully after the Akin fiasco- he's like a starting pitcher with an embarrassingly shoddy defense whose errors knock him out of the game.
The Treasury Department has threatened to withdraw the religious exemption from taxation for the Catholic Church if Priests oppose Obama and Obamacare during Mass because those statements consitiute "political speech." That threat alone is a complete outrage and constitutes an impeachable offense. If someone attacks the core beliefs of your religion you can say whatever you want about him in Church.
Bottom line: the States and its citizens ARE under attack from Obama and his Agencies on multiple fronts. Without Congressional approval Obama has issued an illegal executive order granting amnesty to MILLIONS of illegal aliens WHO ARE LINING UP BY THE THOUSANDS GETTING US WORK PERMITS FROM OBAMA while MILLIONS OF LEGAL CITIZENS REMAIN UNEMPLOYED. Obama sues states for trying to protect their borders. He sues states for trying to drill on their own land and IGNORES COURT ORDERS permitting the drilling. He shuts down a 20,000 job pipeline. He plans to shut down fracking his second term and reverse all the new jobs in Pennsylvania, the mid West and Western states. The list goes on and on and on.
I grew up in Texas and could not wait to get out. It would greatly improve the US if the South seceded. White Southerners are animated by the two Rs: religion and racism. I know not only from growing up there, but because most of my family still lives there.
You should resume taking your medications because the men in the white coats are looking for you to take you back to the asylum.
The more capital letterss a poster uses, the smaller the nrain.
Just another of today's mainstream Republicans.
This guy is on LSD again. It says alot about those voters that voted him in last time.
