Artist Andy Coolquitt and Associate Curator of Exhibitions and Public Programs Rachel Adams discuss the artist's interest in the collection, study, and reuse of found objects.

Lecture: November 7, 2012 | 6–7 pm

Curatorial Assistant Sean Ripple will speak about Coolquitt's exhibition focusing on the artist's process of collecting debris and discarded materials in order to pursue making his sculptures.

For his first solo museum exhibition, Coolquitt will recombine 60 discrete sculptures and tableaux made between 2006 and 2011 into a site-specific installation. A illustrated monograph co-published by Blaffer Art Museum and University of Texas Press accompanys the exhibition.
