Plan on arriving in Anchorage on June 1 and spending the night at the Puffin Inn.  Then on Sunday, June 2 we will bird the Anchorage area before flying to Nome on the June 3 .  In addition, we will bird Barrow, Kenai Fjord NWR out of Seward, Anchorage and surrounding area and finally, Denali Highway.  Last year we had 181 species on this trip.  This trip usually fills quickly so if you want a spot I suggest you act quickly.

The Texas Ornithological Society is pleased  to announce the creation of an online image archive for Texas bird photo-images. We are currently interested in accepting bird images from around the state by T.O.S. geographic region. Already over 4,000 Texas bird images from over 110 photographers have been uploaded.

The submission of photo-documentation will require the date and county for each species image, just as we require for written documentation in our regional reports. All rights to the images are retained by the photographer. For additional information as to how you can contribute images, visit our website at http://www.texasbirdimages.com

The Texas Ornithological Society (TOS) was founded in 1953 as a nonprofit organization. The purpose of the Society is to promote the discovery and dissemination of knowledge of birds; to encourage specifically the observation, study and conservation of birds in Texas; to encourage the formation of local birding clubs; and to stimulate cooperation among professional ornithologists.
