  Photograph of Carmen Pardo   Carmen Pardo attended National Engineering University in Lima, Peru, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, and Montgomery College, where she earned an Associate of Arts in Management of Construction.

From 1998 to 2008, she worked as a Procurement Assistant at the World Bank Group for the Environmentally and Socially Sustainable Development Division, and the Finance, Private Sector and Infrastructure Department in the Latin America Region.

Mrs. Pardo started her Federal Service in 2008 at NIST as a Secretary, performing administrative functions for the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program and the Office of Applied Economics, both with the Building and Fire Research Laboratory.
