Subject: Delegation of Authority to the Bureau of Reclamation
Sec. 1 Purpose. The purpose of this Order is to delegate such additional authority as may be necessary to the Regional Director, Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation, to obtain water from willing sellers and release such water for instream fishery purposes through the Trinity River Division of the Central Valley Project for the benefit of the Trinity River fishery.
Sec. 2 Authority. This Order is issued in accordance with the authority provided to the Secretary by Section 2 of Reorganization Plan No. 3 of 1950 (5 U.S.C. Appendix).
Sec. 3 Delegation. The Regional Director, Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation, is delegated so much of the authority of the Secretary in 16 U.S.C. ' 742f as is necessary to allow the United States, through the Bureau of Reclamation, to acquire water from willing sellers and to release this water through the Trinity River Division of the Central Valley Project for instream fishery purposes to benefit the Trinity River fishery. The Regional Director may re-delegate this authority as necessary.
Sec. 4 Expiration Date. This Order is effective immediately, and its provisions will remain in effect until October 1, 2004, or until it is amended, superseded, or revoked; whichever occurs first.
