Here's how it works: You email me a photo of your family and I post it (with no identification) on the Family Photos for Peace web page. $2 is donated to UNICEF for each photo received. You are welcome to match the donation to any organization you like, but that's definitely not required. The idea is to have a "sea" of family photos, each standing for the proposition that we have much more that binds us together than we do that keeps us apart. The money that is raised goes to support that notion. It's quite simple and I hope it will be fruitful. There is a link on the site inviting written suggestions for improving our world situation. These will be posted into the Guestbook on the site. I invite you to have your students send in photos and their ideas. You can have a look at the page as it now exists, though it's pretty sparse. Hopefully this message will get the ball rolling. Any feedback/suggestions you'd like to provide are, of course, welcome. http://www.lclark.edu/~krauss/fpfp/fpfp.html Enjoy all that the end of the year brings--and on into 2005.
