Providing access to information for North Dakotans is the mission of the North Dakota State Library. The State Library specializes in state-of-the-art information services to libraries, state agencies, and the general public. The State Library assumes a leadership role in promoting the development of library service for all North Dakota residents.
The role of the State Library is ever changing as more people expect to have access to information where they are. North Dakota offers three major remote access programs: a statewide online library catalog, Online Library Resources, and a link to resources worldwide through WorldCat.
