Work Objectives:
- To assist the major functions of the CDC/Tanzania collaboration in strengthening the capacities of Ministry of Health institutions and other partners.
- Liaise with the US Embassy Dar es Salaam to carry out the programs needed to set up, administer and manage the Global AIDS Tanzania Program.
- Provide oversight and technical assistance for local cooperative agreement activities; including development and implementation of monitoring and reporting systems and processes for reporting program and financial activities.
- Assist with program tasks related to surveillance, blood safety, prevention of mother-to-child transmission and laboratory support.
- Assist the Interdisciplinary Monitoring Project for Anti-malaria Combination Therapy in Tanzania (IMPACT - Tz) in the rapid ethnographic assessment of community drug use practices and the factors that influence them.
