<div>Colleagues,</div> <div> I am currently working as a Community Health Intern with a focus on health literacy for the Jefferson County Health Department in Jefferson County, Missouri. I have been interested in provider education since the start of my work, but was unable to find any existing programs that fit our needs and/or were sustainable. </div> <div> A few weeks ago though, I began developing a new provider education program entitled the Health Literacy Certification Program (HLCP). The programs materials are not yet entirely finished, but the majority of the components should be finished by the end of the week. The program will be offered totally free, as I am simply interested in helping others find unique methods to improve provider education concerning health literacy and clear health communication strategies. </div>
<div> If anyone is interested, or works, in provider education concerning health literacy and would like to learn more about the HLCP program, please e-mail me at my personal e-mail 'off-list.' We feel this program has a very good opportunity to successfully improve provider education both here, and elsewhere, as the program also has high replicability and should be able to be applied elsewhere as well. Thank you, and I look forward to your feedback about our program.</div> <div> </div> <div>Thank you,</div> <div>Matt</div><BR><BR>Matt Gayer<br>Community Health Intern<br>Jefferson County Health Department<br>1818 Lonedell Drive<br>Arnold, Missouri, 63010<br>Work Phone 636-282-1010 ext. 267
