Initiatives
The work of our past is the platform for our future. While all of these initiatives began before the launch of our new strategic framework, they help set the context for the future and offer useful lessons for working under our refocused mission and vision. While our investments in these bodies of work continue, we are not accepting any new grant proposals within them.
ENLACE is a multi-year initiative, launched in 1997, to strengthen the educational pipeline and increase opportunities for Latinos to enter and complete college. ENLACE consists of 13 partnerships in 7 states that are working to increase the number of Latino graduates from high school and college. Learn More |

A national initiative to help communities unite resources to better prepare children for school. Seeking both "ready children" and "ready schools," SPARK supported five-year implementation plans of grantees in seven states and the District of Columbia to smooth the transition to school and align preschool and elementary school settings.
