Tropical Storm Edouard creates a bank of clouds off the southeast Atlantic Coast on September 2, 2002.
Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall in central Florida late in the day on September 4, 2002. Soon after the storm weakened to a tropical depression with winds of only 25 miles per hour. The event can be seen in this true-color image taken on September 4, 2002, by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS), flying aboard NASA?s Terra spacecraft. The storm is expected to dump 2 to 4 more inches of rain on the region.
