Even if it's about $250, it might be a useful tool for your client to build both his/her Farsi and English vocabulary, especially if there's a need for further (literacy) education to realize future goals. Also, you might check out the online search results at Ask Jeeves at http://web.ask.com/web?q=farsi-english+bilingual+picture+dictionaries&qsrc=0 &o=0 and Google at http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2005- 22,GGLG:en&q=farsi+english+picture+dictionary. If your client can read some Urdu script, you might also try the Milet Farsi-English Picture Dictionary by Sedat Turhan & Sally Hagin, ISBN: 1840593512. You can buy it at amazon.com. I hope this helps you in some way! Michael Michael A. I found (but didn't like) a Farsi picture dict. for children (mostly animals & toys) & a very thick "regular" dictionary, but neither was helpful for my middle-aged client who has only 3 yrs. of education.
