Congress has finally enacted legislation to add a prescription drug benefit to the Medicare program. The links below will assist people with questions about the new plan and other Medicare benefits. - You pay an annual deductible between $0-$265 and a monthly premium averaging $28 — premiums for some plans are less than $26 per month.
- Medicare pays for 75% of your drug costs up to $2,700.
- Medicare pays for 95% of your out-of –pocket drug costs over $4,350.
- Extra assistance is available for seniors with limited incomes and resources.
- Benefit compliments PACE program.
