Veterans
My staff and I help many veterans who need military records, are having problems with disability compensation, or are having difficulty with the Department of Veterans Affairs. If you have tried to work with the VA and have run into problems, we may be able to help. Because of laws to protect your privacy, you will need to fill out a signed Constituent Services Form (PDF or Word, Download Adobe Acrobat Reader) and send it with the explanation of the problem you are having to my nearest district office.
How do I...
- contact the Department of Veterans Affairs?
- find the Department of Veterans Affairs on the Web?
- find out about the types of VA Claims?
- get a VA Home Loan?
- qualify for a VA Home Loan?
- get a copy of my military records?
- get replacement medals?
- get the 10-10EZ (Veteran's Benefit Form)
Veterans History Project
The Library of Congress has the Veterans History Project, which collects and preserves the extraordinary wartime stories of ordinary people. Visit the Veterans History Project site to search the database, see and hear the personal accounts, or to learn how to contribute your own story.
America Supports You
The Defense Department recently launched “America Supports You” to showcase America's support for the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families, and focus on the many ways the country is expressing that support. "America Supports You" encourages people to visit their web site and share details about their support project or activity.
