Hello,

When the profile is created on the website it asks for the timezone, so when
you search for someone, it displays their local time. This is in beta and I
did my best with timezones etc, but I can't guarantee someone in Mongolia
might be an hour off from what the website says, for example. Hopefully
that will be enough for them to arrange a time to meet, or if they happen to
be on line at the time, they can just call each other immediately with
Skype.

Students would want to get a headset with a microphone. They cost around $8
in our bookstore. It's best to either not have speakers or to turn them
off, since it can cause an echo on the other end.

Todd

Dear Todd,
Sounds like a good idea, but what about time
differences. That may be hard to establish a time to
speak.
Students would also need the microphone and speakers
attached to their computers, wouldn't they?
