For example, a native Russian speaker studying English would find a student in Kansas studying Russian. They would then contact each other via Skype and practice each language for a certain period of time. I've create a website where students or teachers can sign up and find partners for such an exchange, http://langtech.dickinson.edu/globalclass/login.aspx If you have questions or ideas, please respond to me. I'm open to anything at this point with the only goal being to get our students to practice speaking outside of class.
