Federal Trade Commission Received Documents Oct 25 1995 B18354900328 Secretary JOHN C. KLOF 37189 FERBER DRIVE RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIFORNIA (619)324-2882 FAX: (619)324-2882 September 8, 1995 FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION Pennsylvania Ave & 6th Street N.W. Washington, D.C. 20590 Gentlemen; We strongly object to your consideration on loosening the "Made in USA standards". The American people want to buy products that we made and assembled by U.S. material and labor. Every product manufactured as stated should be boldly displayed on those products. The same bold display should be made for products "Made in USA with Foreign Components" utilizing a different color label. This distinction will be beneficial to the consumers in distinguishing where a product or its contents came from. We have written a number of stores requesting they display signs in their stores stating "Made in America" and have those products displayed in a separate area from products made in foreign countries. Your consideration of the above will be appreciated. Very truly yours, John C. Klof Treasurer, UWSA, Palm Desert Chapter
