Federal Trade Commission Received Documents Sep 6 1995 B18354900322 Secretary August 30, 1995 Federal Trade Commission Office of the Secretary "Made in the U. S. A." Sixth Street & Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20580 1 would like to add my voice to the debate of what made in the USA really means: Made in the USA should mean the product was made in the United States of America, (not on a ship in America territorial waters) by American workers (not illegal aliens) paying taxes (to reduce the budget deficit) and made of parts made in the United States of America by American workers, (paying taxes to reduce the budget deficit) not illegal immigrants. (who don't pay taxes) If this made in the USA policy is used, at least those of us who don't mind paying a little more to buy products made by tax paying brothers and sisters in this country, will get a fair and honest deal. Which is all we ever asked for. Bill Pilger 509 Swan Street West Burlington, Iowa 52655
