(Milwaukee, WI)- Congresswoman Gwen Moore's District Office staff will be hosting office hours in West Allis on Thursday, June 9th, offering local residents an opportunity to meet with Congressional staff to express concerns, offer opinions, or request assistance.

"My job is to work for the people and fight for the people.  I can only do that if my office is available to them," Congresswoman Moore said.  "I can't think of a better way to do that than to bring my workspace to my constituents, offering my assistance to them in their neighborhood, on their terms."

Residents of West Allis are encouraged to visit these designated local office hours if they have issues or needs relating to the federal government, its agencies, or its legislative business.  Congresswoman Moore's staff will be on hand to assist constituents with any number of requests, including obtaining passports, understanding disability benefits, having a flag flown above the U.S. Capitol building in a loved one's honor, renewing a visa, or discussing a piece of upcoming federal legislation.

The Congressional staff can also advise representatives from community organizations on how to apply for federal grants or how to obtain Congressional recognition for an outstanding volunteer or community member.

The 4th Congressional District, which Congresswoman Moore represents, includes the eastern part of West Allis.

The office hours will be held from 4pm-6pm at the West Allis Library located at 7421 W. National Avenue.  Other upcoming office hours dates and locales include Thursday, June 16 at the St. Francis Library located at 4230 S. Nicholson Avenue from 5pm-7pm, and Thursday June 23 at the Washington Park Senior Center located at 4420 W.
