WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Bill Delahunt’s Foreign Affairs Subcommittee will hold a public briefing Wednesday to examine the cases of Uzbek and Chinese nationals who were wrongfully accused of terrorist activity and imprisoned indefinitely at Guantanamo Bay in 2002. Despite clear evidence of their innocence, they remain detained. The purpose of the briefing is to determine why these men were incarcerated in the first place, what is being done to resolve their cases, and how cases like these reflect on the image of the United States abroad.
