Cardoza to Hold Medicare Town Halls For Seniors Throughout District

Valley Lawmaker To Explain Prescription Drug Benefit, Ways To Improve It

WASHINGTON – Congressman Dennis Cardoza, D-Merced, will host community forums in April to help inform seniors about upcoming changes in Medicare and what they should expect under the new prescription drug plan.

Cardoza will discuss both the benefits and the pitfalls of the new program and what he is doing to improve seniors’ access to prescription drugs. He will also answer questions about drug discount cards and other confusing elements of changes to Medicare.

All seniors in the 18th District are invited to attend.

The events will be held at the following times and locations:

Merced - Monday, April 5, 10:00 a.m., 678 W. 18th St., City Council Chambers


Stockton - Tuesday, April 6, 9:30 a.m., 555 E. Weber St., SJ COG Conference Room
