U.S. Military Service Academies Information Night Announced

Event Is For High School Students Interested In Seeking A Nomination

WASHINGTON – Congressman Dennis Cardoza, D-Merced, along with Congressman George Radanovich, R-Mariposa, will sponsor “Academy Information Night” to familiarize junior and senior high school students, their parents, and high school guidance counselors with educational and career opportunities available at the U.S. military service academies.  This informative seminar is for all high school students within the 18th and 19th Congressional Districts to discuss the requirements and procedures for seeking a nomination to the academies.

 

Representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy – Colorado Springs, the U.S. Military Academy – West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy – Annapolis, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy will be available to answer questions of persons attending this open house.

 

Members of the Congressmen’s staff will also be available for consultation and will provide service catalogs, application kits, and other descriptive materials.  There will also be a power point presentation and a video presentation.

 

Academy Information Night will be held Wednesday, September 29th, 6:30 p.m. at the Harvest Hall located at the Stanislaus County Ag Center, 3800 Cornucopia Way, Modesto.
