| WASHINGTON – Today Congressmen Dennis Cardoza (CA-18) and Jim Costa (CA-20) will announce they will convene a Valley-wide meeting to build support for bringing a medical school to UC Merced with a clinical education program at the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Center and other regional hospitals. Establishing this medical school is crucial to meeting the future healthcare needs of the entire Valley, which is already chronically underserved.
Following the meeting the Congressmen will make brief statements to the press and be available to answer questions.
