The Alliance Program is very active and growing rapidly.
In some cases, organizations may be cooperating with OSHA for the first time.
In others, they may be building on existing relationships with the Agency that
were developed through other OSHA cooperative programs such as Strategic
Partnerships, Voluntary Protection Programs, and On-site Consultation.
Alliances are being formed with a variety of organizations, including industry
associations, professional societies.
15 National Alliances have been signed professional societies and many of their
local chapters have signed Regional Alliances.
The Alliance Program has 65 Alliances supporting these efforts including:
- General Industry, 27 Alliances representing 41% of Alliances
- Ergonomics, 19 Alliances representing 29% of Alliances
- Construction, 15 Alliances representing 23% of Alliances
- Small Business, 20 Alliances representing 31% of Alliances
- Immigrant Employers and Workers, 16 Alliances representing 25% of
Alliances
