These compliance assistance products contribute directly to furthering
workplace safety and health. Electronic assistance tools, including Safety and
Health Topics pages and eTools, are Web-based training tools. Alliance Program
participants are serving on the Editorial Boards of more than 90 eTools and
Safety and Health Topics pages.
- eTools: Through the OSHA and American Association of Occupational
Health Nurses, Inc. (AAOHN), Association of Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare (AOHP),
Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Alliances; representatives from OSHA and the
organizations provided expertise and input during the update of OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Module
of the Hospital eTool. This module was posted to the Agency Web site in March 2008. As of March
2008, 13 eTools had been revised or developed collaboratively by Alliance participants and OSHA.
Alliance Program participants are on the editorial boards of 9 eTools.
- Safety and Health Topics Pages: Through OSHA and the ISSA Alliance,
representatives from ISSA collaborated and provided expertise and input into the development of a
