    Speaker Notes:

    The Alliance Program continues to produce concrete results in the form of compliance assistance tools, presentations, training resources and outreach to assist employers in the reduction of injuries, illnesses, and fatalities and to promote the national dialogue on workplace safety and health.

    Electronic assistance tools
    Alliance Program participants work with OSHA to develop and implement a variety of projects, including electronic assistance tools to meet the goals of their agreements. These compliance assistance products contribute directly to furthering workplace safety and health. Electronic assistance tools, including Safety and Health Topics pages and eTools are Web-based training tools. Alliance members are contributing as Editorial Board members on 93 eTools and Safety and Health Topics pages.

    eTools: Through the Alliance Program 14 eTools and eTool modules have been developed or updated to include:
    Ammonia Refrigeration (AMI, Dow)
    Ergonomics: Baggage Handling (Airlines/NSC)
    Ergonomics: Electrical Contractors: 4 modules (IEC) – Supplemental Information, Material Handling, Installation and Repair and Prefabrication
    Hospital: 3 modules (AAOHN, AOHP, LIA) – Surgical Suite and Bloodborne Pathogens (SDMS) – Sonography
    Machine Guarding: 2 modules (SPI) – Injection Molding and Thermoforming Machines
    Noise and Hearing Conservation (NHCA)
    Ergonomics in the Printing Industry: 3 modules (GAC) – Lithography, Flexography, and Screen Printing
    Shipyard Employment: 4 modules (ASA, NSRP, SCA) – Barge Cleaning, Ship Breaking, Ship Repair, and Fire Protection
    Power Industrial Trucks: 4 modules (ITA) – Types and Fundamentals, Operating the Forklift, Workplace and Training

    Safety and Health Topics pages: 17 Safety and Health Topics pages and one module for an existing topics page have been developed as products of the Alliance Program:
