2010 Census Fair  (07/21/09)

The Census Bureau will host its annual Census Fair in the Rayburn Building’s Gold Room on July 23, 2009 from 10 AM to 2 PM. This year’s theme is the Rollout of the Congressional Partnership Toolkit. Other demonstrations and exhibits include Census In Schools, Recruiting, National and Field Partnerships, Privacy and much more. Members and staffers are encouraged to attend.

Congressional Partnership Program  (07/21/09)

The Congressional Partnership Program is designed to engage members of Congress with the Census Bureau Regional Directors in their districts for promotion of the 2010 Census. As a member of Congress, use the Congressional Partnership Toolkit to help with ideas on the many ways you may get involved now and in the future. As a major stakeholder, you can help ensure that everyone in your community is counted so that your district receives its fair share of important services and resources.

List of proposed 2010 Census Local Census Offices released  (6/19/08)

The Census Bureau has released its proposed LCO (Local Census Offices) for the 2010 Census. The list also contains the congressional districts for each office.

The GSA will begin the process of looking for space in these areas.

The 2007 Economic Census is Under Way  (1/29/08)

The due date for the 2007 Economic Census forms is February 12th, 2008. Data from the Economic Census helps organizations make informed business decisions.

Census 2000 data for the current Congress  (1/4/07)

FastFacts for Congress has been updated with Census 2000 data retabulated for the current Congress.

Note: The only difference between the 109th and 110th data sets are for the states where congressional districts were redrawn for the 110th Congress (Georgia and Texas). 2006 ACS data are tabulated for 109th congressional districts; ACS data are not available for 110th congressional districts for Georgia and Texas.

Additional data for areas with a population greater than 20,000 are scheduled to be released in December.
