Congresswoman Bordallo Mourns Chamber President Eloise Baza  

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—October 29, 2007 Washington, D.C.

Upon learning of the sudden passing of Guam Chamber of Commerce President Eloise R. Baza, Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo issued the following statement:

“I was saddened to hear of the passing of Eloise Baza, the President of the Guam Chamber of Commerce early this morning.  Eloise was a driving force behind the Chamber and her leadership gave the Chamber an important voice in our community.  She played a central role in the Chamber’s advocacy of sound economic policy, government reform and community service.   Above all, she loved our island and she contributed so much for the improvement of our island.

“Today, I join our community in mourning the passing of Eloise Baza, and my sympathies and prayers go out to her family during their time of sorrow.”
