Qualified vehicles may park at any City parking meter without charge for the duration of that meter.

Qualifying vehicles must be rated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with minimum Environmental Performance Scores for Greenhouse Gas and Air Pollution of 6 and a total combined score of 14 or higher.

Conditions for Permit

Green Vehicle Parking Permits are valid for parking spaces in the City of Albuquerque that are regulated by a parking meter.

Vehicles displaying Green Vehicle Parking Permits must be registered in the state of New Mexico.

Please post the parking permit on the driver's side rear bumper or on the lower corner of the driver's side rear window.

Green Vehicle Parking Rules

Permitted Green Vehicles are allowed to park in a metered space for the maximum time allowed by the meter.
Green Vehicle Parking Permits must be renewed each year.
