I wish to apologize to the list for my ill-considered comments on Junkyard Dan published by Nox Press. Just because they didn't seem from their cover art and content to meet my needs should not have been a reason to make stereotypical comments such as I did. I am making this post after correspondence with Nox Press. Not only do I have to choose texts at a lower reading higher interest level than one would expect of pre-first-year college students, but I have to prepare them for the transition to academic reading and writing as well. I do have considerable experience at all levels of literacy, yet am capable, as are we all, of making an error of judgment. Again, my apologies for having offended anyone.
